Anumitra Mirti

Dr. Anumitra Mirti is an advocate for climate change resilience in health and infrastructure. She has over 15 years of experience in environment management, climate adaptation, sustainability, and disaster resilience planning.

Dr Mirti is a Strategic Environmental Planning Manager for Central Coast Council delivering projects on Climate Change, Sustainability, Disaster Resilience and Greening Vision for Central Coast, New South Wales. She is a passionate advocate for climate action and enhancing organisational and community resilience to climate impacts.

As a member of the Climate & Health Alliance, in 2020 Dr Mirti developed a global benchmarking survey for the World Federation for Public Health Association and contributed in the development of a Framework for National Strategy for Climate and Health for the Australian Federal Government in 2018.  Dr Mirti also contributed to Central Coast Council’s first regional Climate Change Policy, adopted in 2019.
