Central Coast Council

Central Coast Council adopted its inaugural Climate Change Policy for the region on 8 July 2019.

The policy sets the Net Zero Emissions by 2050 target and commits the Central Coast local government to develop strategies and actions for mitigation and adaptation for the region.  Central Coast Council was the 31st Council to adopt the Climate Emergency Declaration on 26 August 2019. Council’s Climate Action Planning program commences in February 2020 involving 17 community workshops, 5 action planning sessions with schools and 5 sectoral sessions:
