POLICY & INNOVATION

Oliver Yates

Oliver is the former inaugural head of Australia’s $10 billion Clean Energy Finance Corporation.

He is a renowned renewal energy expert and is passionate about the need to address climate change.

Oliver Yates has more than 25 years of global experience in banking and finance. He has had a long-term career in establishing international renewable energy businesses and investment in emissions reduction infrastructure. He has led studies and run projects for the avoidance of land degradation and deforestation. He was recently the inaugural CEO of the $10 billion Clean Energy Finance Corporation, established by the Australian Government.

Oliver has been an active participant in political debate throughout his professional career. He’s decided that he must stand at this election because the threat of climate change is denied and ignored by the current Federal Government, but is a serious risk to all citizens and our national treasures.

Oliver contested the current member and Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg to offer a fresh voice for the seat of Kooyong.

Oliver’s
